There is one person (if you could call him that) that every guardian looks up too. Several months later
Jamie stepped off the bus rubbing sleep out of his eyes. With his mouth a lovely enormous "O", he started his short trek to his house, hanging his head back and taking a deep breath.

Writhing, seething, and pulsating purplish black inky goo, dripped from the branches of a dead tree, dropping to the floor. It began to chatter and grow in excitement. Animals scurried away from the anomaly as fast as they can, fear bright on their mind.
Laughter emitted from the growing black, but not the kind that is contagious and makes you want to join. The cold sound sucks life out with its ringing voiceless sound.
